How Much Will my Vasectomy Cost?
The cost of vasectomy with Snip is $595.00. Our One Price includes:
- Pre-operative phone consultation with one of our nurses
- The actual Snip
- 24/7 post-operative care
- Laboratory sperm test
- Follow up of sperm test results
How can I pay for my vasectomy?
Payment for you vasectomy is made on the day. We accept the following methods of payment:
- Eftpos
- Credit card
- Cash
- Afterpay
Private Medical Insurance
Many private medical insurance companies will cover the cost of vasectomy under a surgical cover policy. We can provide you with a quote. We are also able to invoice some medical insurance companies directly with a pre-approval letter. Once you have the tick of approval let us know!

Low Income Patients
If you have low income and hold a Community Services Card Work and Income New Zealand (WINZ) may be able to assist you with the cost of vasectomy. You will need to apply directly through WINZ. We can help you with your application for funding by producing a WINZ quote. Any shortfall in assisted funding must still be paid by you.

Cost of sperm check after vasectomy
At Snip we offer two methods of sperm testing. You can either purchase a SpermCheck Home Testing Kit for an additional $60.00 on the day of your procedure, or arrange a laboratory test which is free.
