Simon and His Listeners Take the Snip

This week, our Invercargill clinic had the pleasure of hosting Simon Edwards, breakfast show host at MoreFM Southland, along with three of his brave listeners—Dom, Steve, and Gary. Together, these four legends decided it was time to step up for their families and take the plunge with a vasectomy. Since their family plans were complete, they saw the Snip as the best way to manage contraception for the long haul.

A Pre-Snip Pub Pit Stop

Firstly, to kick things off, the crew met up for a pre-vasectomy pub lunch. Fueled by good food and perhaps a little liquid courage, they geared up for the next step. By the time they arrived at the clinic, the group was buzzing with nervous laughter and plenty of banter. Shortly after, the waiting room turned into a hub of jokes, chats, and a touch of pre-procedure anxiety.

Cheered On Like Champions

When the time came, each guy walked to the procedure room, supported by cheers and encouragement from their mates. As each returned, the waiting room came alive with applause, cheers, and even a few wolf whistles. What could have been a nerve-wracking moment turned into a shared celebration. Who knew a vasectomy could come with a standing ovation?

A Day to Remember

By bringing some mates along for moral support, the group transformed a nerve-wracking moment into a fun and downright memorable experience. With laughter, camaraderie, and plenty of encouragement, the day felt less about nerves and more about celebrating a meaningful step forward.

Obviously, we were thrilled to be part of the fun. But the best part was helping these guys make a meaningful decision for their families with a vasectomy.
