What to avoid after vasectomy

  • Strenuous exercise including, running, lifting weights, and playing sport
  • Physically demanding work
  • Swimming in a pool, spa, or the ocean
  • Taking a bath (showers are okay)
  • Unprotected sex (until you have the all clear). You can continue sexual activities at any time provided you use contraception

What next.

Once recovered, you’ll be glad to know that life will go on exactly as before (minus the worries!). To ensure you are shooting blanks we will remind you to test three months after your procedure. Once you have been given the all clear you are good to go, but until then contraception is a must!
