We’re currently trialling a simple, optional Men’s Health Check for patients coming in for a vasectomy — designed to be quick, non-invasive, and done at the same time as your appointment.
What’s Included
This check focuses on key men’s health markers that can help pick up early signs of preventable issues — especially those men often don’t realise are affecting them.
Your check will include:
- Blood pressure
- Weight and waist measurement
- A short health questionnaire (including optional testosterone screening)
- A quick blood test for:
- Cholesterol and heart risk
- Blood sugar (diabetes screening)
- Liver and kidney function
- Complete blood count
- PSA (prostate) test – if appropriate for your age/symptoms
- Testosterone – if flagged in the questionnaire
How it Works
- It’s all done while you’re here for your vasectomy — no extra appointments required.
- No fasting needed. Bloods are taken on the spot.
- After your visit, one of our doctors will review your results and send you a personalised summary letter.
- If anything needs follow-up, we’ll guide you. For some results (like testosterone), we may offer a private follow-up in our Magma Men’s Clinic.
